Jennifer Crusie was researching her dissertation on romance novels when she got sidetracked into writing them. Her first book was published in 1993 and her sixteenth, Don’t Look Down (written with Bob Mayer), in 2006, all of which she considers a minor miracle. Her latest novel from St. Martin’s Press is a paranormal romance written in collaboration with Anne Stuart and Eileen Dreyer called The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes (July 2007) and her next novel will be another collaboration with Bob Mayer called Agnes and the Hitman (or, if you’re Bob, Shane and the Food Columnist) out in August of 2007. Jenny is currently working on two solo novels for St. Martin’s Press. For more information, see www.jennycrusie.com.
Eileen Dreyer is actually evil twins. As Kathleen Korbel she won her first publishing award in 1987, being named the best new Contemporary Romance Author by Romantic Times. Since that time she has also garnered not only five other writing awards from Romantic Times, but five RITA Awards from Romance Writers of America, which secures her only the fourth place in the RWA prestigious Hall of Fame. As Eileen Dreyer, she writes medical-forensic suspense, which has garnered her a coveted Anthony Award nomination and multiple USA Today bestsellers. A retired trauma nurse, she travels extensively, having sung in the best Irish pubs in the world, cheers on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and trains in forensics and tactical medicine for fun (she is the unofficial mascot of the International Association of Forensic Nurses). She lives in her native St. Louis with her family, and has pets, but refuses to expose them to the limelight. For more information, see www.eileendreyer.com.
Anne Stuart is a grandmaster of the genre, winner of Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, survivor of thirty-two years in the romance business, and still just keeps getting better. She’s won numerous awards, appeared on most bestseller lists, and speaks all over the country. Her general outrageousness has gotten her on Entertainment Tonight, as well as in Vogue, People, USA Today, Women’s Day and countless other national newspapers and magazines. When she’s not traveling, she’s at home in Northern Vermont with her luscious husband of thirty years, an empty nest, three cats and one Springer Spaniel, and when she’s not working she’s watching movies, listening to rock and roll (preferably Japanese) and spending far too much time quilting.
