And the Winner is …
I know, I promised a winner many moons ago, but in between I’ve had the RWA conference and computer disasters (happily resolved — I now have a glorious Macbook Pro named Lagoud in honor of my brother Dougal) and I’m back on line and I’ve chosen my winner! Jenny has a complicated way to do it, figuring out birthdates and numbers of posts, but that’s too much for my poor brain, so the winner of the UMF quilt is Dee, who wanted Xan to win with a small w, and end up with a middle-aged man in knee socks and sandals who was a real hottie.
That’s such a great image that I couldn’t resist.
So Dee, send me your snail mail and as soon as I quilt it (hopefully in the next few days) I’ll post a final picture and send it off to you.

Woo hoo! I’m giving Dee a shout out so hopefully she’ll get word soon and get back to you. I’m trying really hard here not to be jealous. Well not to be too jealous. A little is okay, right?
Yay, Dee!
Krissie,
I am in tears. It’s been SUCH a week for me, getting back from Nats (you were FABULOUS, by the by!), jumping back into my brand new job (56 hours already this week, and it’s only Thursday!), packing to go to PA tonight for the birth of my best friends baby by C-Section at 8am, and having to drive home late tomorrow so I can make a funeral on Saturday (a very dear friend passed away this week). I was at my very last pit stop on the way to total breakdown when I got a text message from McB on my way home from work today. Poor man driving down I95 next to me pro’lly thinks I’m nuts. He’s not far off.
This is the total best thing that has happened to me all damn week. I needed it. I so so so needed it. Perfect. Really. You have no idea…
Ok, I’m gushing. I’ll stop now. But really - THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH.
And McB - don’t be jealous. I’ll bring it up so you can see it as soon as I get it. I may even let you touch it.
MUCH love from dee
So happy for you, Dee. Sometimes these things come at just the right time. Yay, Krissie for your excellent choice of winners.
Krissie you couldn’t have chosen a more delightful person to make this for. As you can tell Dee is a very giving person and deserves all the good things that can happen for her.
Way to go Dee.
