Xan’s Contest
Xan made nothing for this contest. So we stole a black and red wrap from her closet.
This is a better picture than the first one although it’s harder to see detail. The wrap looks mostly black and there is NO bright red on it. The flash caught the wine red of the ribbon and made it look bright red. Also it glitters. Like Xan.
All you have to do is answer the questions, we’ll choose somebody at random from the comments between July 16 and July 22, and the winner will have Xan’s wrap (you didn’t get it from us) and a book signed by all of us. We’ll post the winner here, so check back to see who won.

I would love this scarf. I’m so glad I found this in time.
It really is much darker than this and that ribbon is a dark wine. Sigh. I can’t take a picture to save myself.
So let’s try this:
It’s black velvet with sparkly red plaid burnout in a deep red, trimmed in matching deep red ribbon and black beads. And I’ll try to get a better picture tomorrow.
The photo is fine, it looks lovely. I can envision Xan flipping that thing over her shoulder and giving someone a steely-eyed glance as she gives a curt directive. Probably Maxine. Yeah, poor Maxine.
That is a beautiful wrap. I don’t dress up very often, but when I do, I feel much prettier with a wrap or shawl than with any kind of a coat. I’ll just cross my fingers and hope you pick my name (not me, she has won enough).
The Wrap is simply divine. I just love the rich colors.
