Who I Cast as Dee
Okay, because I can’t stand not being part of the dialogue, here is my own picture of Dee. Yes, I did use Kerri Russell. I think she’s gorgeous in that wild, curly redheaded kind of way that can still be made stylish, and she has not only the maturity but the vulnerability I see in Dee. I really liked all the suggestions, though. I could definitely see Lauren Graham and Julianne Moore(with a bit fewer years–which was my problem. Everybody I thought of was just that much too old), and Rachel Weiss, and…well, everbody. So, I decided to just pick randomly, since I couldn’t choose the best. Because one person who weighed in gets a copy of The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes signed by all three of us. In the colors of our characters(and personally, I think it’s very cool). So, if Sara would get in touch with me, I’ll send off a book. Congrats! And thank you all. As Jen said, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Eileen,
This is just the “Who should be Dee” contest, for the signed book, not the contest for the quilt, correct?
You ladies are giving away so much stuff that it’s almost confusing. We are all just so glad that the book is out, we really don’t need all the goodies. But we’re not going to complain if you insist on sending out beautiful things to your fans.
Sorry. Yes. The quilt contest is for Lizzie. It’s up to Anne which contest she uses. We’re so happy the book’s out, too, we feel benevolent. Really, we just want to share with you guys.
There’s one contest a week for the first four weeks. So it doesn’t matter what post you respond to that week, you’re in.
Krissie will choose somebody from this week, ending today. Tomorrow, the Mare contest starts.
My vote for Dee is Kate Beckinsdale (sp?). Highlight and curl hair and there ya go!
