And Thank You All VERY Much . . .
The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes will be #30 on the USAToday bestseller list (that’s huge because they lump in non-fiction, hardcovers, everything togehter), #27 on the New York Times list this weekend, and #9 on the Walden’s/Border’s romance list.
We very definitely owe it all to you.

Should be higher, IMO
Delightfully excellent book.
Wow! Congratulations. It’s been days since I finished the book and I find myself thinking about it daily, which to me is a sign of a really good book. I’m an avid reader and can forget the characters the minute I start the next one. Not so with TUMF. In fact I might read it again on the plane to National.
I wish my local grocery store was a NYT reporting store because there are no copies left there! It came in Tuesday (book delivery day) and by tonight when I went shopping there was one left. I bought it.
DLD is there too, only two copies left and this is the second order for it!
Very cool! Way to go!
Off to write my review….
I’m so thrilled for you!
It’s a great book. I really, really enjoyed it, I know I’ll read it again, and I’m encouraging others to buy it as well.
We cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate your support on this. You’ve had such a huge impact and we’re so grateful!
Thank you.
Jenny-
I just tried to post a comment on the “Who should play Mare?” thread, and now it’s telling me that there is no such post. It’s not showing up when I click the post title in the links either.
Did I break it?
Yes, Dee, you broke the blog.
No, I just went over there and posted and had no trouble (and then deleted the post so don’t get confused there). I don’t know what happened. Give it another try, please.
Congratulations, ladies. And believe us, it was our great pleasure to help the book along.
Great news! Hopefuly it will move higher still!
Heh. I broke the blog.
Now I feel like OH. Or Lori. heh heh.
Seriously, I’ve been literally putting this book into people’s hands the past few days. I’m mailing off the three copies from our contest on Monday. I “sold” a lady in the WallyWorld on the book earlier today, while Gret looked on. We were supposed to be shopping for her birthday present (hers is Monday, mine is tomorrow!), but I got sucked into the book aisle, and this poor woman couldn’t figure out what to buy. So I picked up a copy of TUMF, told her she’d love it, and off she went to purchase it.
Just doing my part.
Congratulations! That’s wonderful. I saved the book for my vacation last week and positively loved it. Tons of characters to know and love. Thanks so much for all the effort.
